CDFD is a DBT funded institute with state of art facilities and generous core funds. Our Ph.D. students students are registered with DBT-RCB-Faridabad and MAHE-Manipal, both of which require high quality publications for the award of Ph.D. degree. CDFD provides generous financial support for attending national and international conferences to their Ph.D. students and post-fellowship support to deserving 6th-year PhD students.
Every Ph.D. student in LNCB is trained for an academic/research career and is given a specific Ph.D. problem/project. In the realm of this project, the student is given sufficient independence to conceptualize, design, and execute their research under the PI's guidance.
Ph.D. students are also encouraged to develop independent ideas that are in sync with the lab research themes. The Final goal is to train you to be an independent thinker and executioner of your research. Majority of the lab alums have stayed in academic research.
Postdoctoral Fellow - You are encouraged to get in touch with your CV and write-up on what will you want to work on in the lab. We do not have open RA positions but if you have an idea and a convincing plan, we will be willing to sponsor you for DBT RA fellowship.
Project Assistant - You are encouraged to contact the PI with your CV and write-up. Clearing the CDFD Project Assistant selection procedure is a must. Contact EMPC for details 040-27216200/27216204.
People joining us as Project Assistants are given a choice (based on their capacity) to function independently and run a project on their own or function with another researcher in the lab.
