Impressed by Reading the book Developmental Biology by Gilbert,Barresi., I developed interest in studying the Developmental Aspects of Life. Works of Spemann and Mangold, Nüsslein-Volhard further inspired me to study Developmental Biology. Apart from academics, my hobbies include Playing Cricket, Watching Horror Genre movies,Solving puzzles etc.

Dr. Rohit JoshiPrincipal InvestigatorI did my Ph.D. in Developmental Neurobiology from NCBS-Bangalore with Gaiti Hasan. Subsequently, I went to the laboratory of Richard Mann at Columbia University-NY for my postdoctoral research, where I studied the molecular basis of Hox specificity. I Joined CDFD as a Group Leader, and my group studies Drosophila central nervous system patterning and development.
Family and science occupy most of my time; other than this, whatever little is left in a day goes in running 5k. |
